Tracking Moon Phases and what you can do for the New Moon

Here I will be discussing the different moon phases, what you can do during these certain moon phases and the energies available to you, There are many great free apps that offer a moon calendar for you to keep track, the one I personally use is "Phases of the moon" which is free.
New Moon Energy
Day 0, Day 29.5
The New moon happens once a month.. The energy of a New Moon brings an energy to start afresh, a new beginning with new intentions, during the new moon energy this is the perfect time to reflect and to ask yourself... "what do I want to achieve this month?" You can set any goals you desire however by setting realistic attainable goals and creating an action plan you will be more likely to manifest these desires.. If this is a bigger goal this may be achieved over many moon cycles however being aware of the energy the moon is in and the house it also sits in can give you a greater advantage to be aware of what challenges you may face.
Take your time in deciding what is it you want to achieve, some quiet time or meditation can help in this, by creating a quiet space to reflect and really think about what it is you want, this can be anything, however the more specific, the better.. i.e I intent to... find a new job ... make better financial decisions... find a new partner... By writing down your intentions, you are grounding them into reality... you may also feel called to create your own personal ritual.. There is no right or wrong way and you can make it as simple or as special as you wish... you could light a candle and say a little prayer or read your intentions aloud calling in the universal energy of love and support around you, if you have crystals and other spiritual possessions i.e Tarot decks or affirmation decks etc this is also the perfect time to sit them where the moon light hits.. this could be on a window ledge to allow this new cleansing energy into your life.
Now that you have your goals and intentions it is then time to create a list of the details surrounding what it is you wish to welcome into your life or create an action plan.. i.e if this intention was for a new job you could then think about the details of this new position i.e What kind of job? What hours/days would you work? Where would you like this job to ideally be located? etc apply the same thought process that applies to your own personal goals and intentions.
Waxing Crescent
Day 3
The next phase of the moon is when the moon enters into the waxing crescent, the energy in which it is the perfect time to look at your action plan and start taking your first steps towards this.. by building a solid foundation to take your first steps.. i.e if your looking for a new relationship this could be by making sure you yourself are ready to welcome this energy into your life, some self care and creating the positive open energy to welcome someone new into your life.. i.e a new job.. to write down any ideas and create, inspired action you may wish to take, updating your CV/Résumé to showcase your abilities and your commitment etc.
First Quarter
Day 7
This is when your commitment to your goals and intentions keep moving you towards your goals, by showing your determination, strength and by taking inspired action towards your goals and intentions you will be on your way towards manifesting them, by remaining positive and trusting your ideas, thoughts, intuition and gut on what your next course of action should be and putting them to action.
Waxing Gibbous
Day 11
This is a time when ideas and thoughts should be flowing to you, if not , by taking a step back to meditate or have some quiet time should help, through your continued actions, thoughts and energy as you continue moving towards manifesting of your intentions and attracting this towards you.
Full Moon
Day 13 - 15
This is the chance to recharge and to realign your energy and to welcome new opportunities and energy into your life.. In this period the energy is magnified so by taking time to reflect to see what has come to fruition and what hasn't .preparing for this transformation and manifestation.. again another ideal time to set out any crystals and deck that you may have.
Waning Gibbous
Day 18
This is a period to release what no longer serves you, to let go of any negative energy that may be around you to regain perspective, heal and practice gratitude of the things you have learned and the things that you are grateful for.
Last Quarter
Day 21
Allow the new positive energy and opportunities into you life whilst continuing to release negative energies and the things that do not serve you...thoughts, emotions, memories and situations.. whilst also practising what it is you are grateful for and using affirmations to continue to allow this positive energy into your life.
Waning Crescent
Day 25
This is the period before another new moon when it is best to regain perspective, to realise the lessons and blessings that have came your way.. to balance your energy, releasing negative energy and taking time to gather your thoughts or meditate, practising affirmations and expressing gratitude can help in attracting positive energy to you.. one this phases has finished it then enters another New Moon for you to create New Intentions and goals, If you're struggling with direction Tarot readings can also help bring things to light which may need your energy and attention.
